Let’s talk about quality control.  Just recently, we sent out a sample of CoQ10 to our independent lab. Unknown to them, we added a blending agent that reduced the expected amount of CoQ10 by 30%. We did this to test the quality of our lab. Sure enough, our lab called us back and told us one of our products did not meet its specifications. Our internal auditor laughed and said, "No, we were just testing you to make sure your lab tests are accurate." The lab technician laughed and stated, "You guys actually test the tester!" So, keep this in mind. This is a cost that cannot be seen in the bottle but can certainly be seen as value to your customer when they come back and buy the product again and again.

I don’t take commitment lightly.  Just recently, we made a $150,000 donation to Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine to insure the future of the Naturopathic industry and the independent health food store. I don't know many companies that have done this in the past ten years. Hopefully, you don't take this as arrogance, but as a display of my commitment to improving our industry and my solid belief in natural medicine, dietary supplements, and the natural health industry.
