In the beginning, OL was just a dream. There was Craig, Mary and limited finances. Their goal was simply to help people achieve ultimate health, well-being, and balance in their lives.
Craig Connors and Mary Sullivan set themselves on this journey by giving of themselves mentally, physically and emotionally. They literally worked seven days per week, 365 days of the year for the first five years of business. They formulated, researched and sold their specialized formulations to health food stores across the country. With the odds stacked against them, limited resources and fierce competition, Craig and Mary broke through the status quo and mediocrity of the industry. They formulated comprehensive nutraceuticals never seen by the nutrition industry while setting quality control standards never done before by any of their competition.
With extensive research and unwavering conviction, they compiled a comprehensive raw material contract that suppliers would have to adhere to in order to supply OL with materials. To their surprise, only a handful would sign it. Suppliers would argue “this contract is unfair" or "you can’t hold us to these requirements” or "no other company requires this". Craig had the same sensible response every time: “I’m simply asking you to guarantee that your raw materials are safe and that you are selling me what you say you are.” This is one area that is, ans always will be, non-negotiable. To date, only one in five raw material suppliers that are given this contract will actually sign it. OL strives everyday to set new standards and demands that all of its' suppliers meet their rigorous requirements. OL strongly feels that it’s not too much to ask a supplier to guarantee ingredients that we put in our bodies. OL would never sell a product that any of its employees or their families wouldn’t take themselves.
Today, Craig and Mary are still on their mission and over the years have built a team of individuals that are as committed to health and well-being as they are. Like many young, fast-growing companies, they have had their growing pains but the OL team is still on track and commited to the success of their customers.
OL loves helping people. Today, their goal is the same as it was in the beginning...not to be the biggest nutritional company, but to be the best. For some time, OL has been pressured by the professional community to develop a line of supplements just for healthcare practitioners. OL is now entering into the professional market with the introduction of their professional line(OL Medical Division) that will be geared toward MD’s, ND’s, DO’s, chiropractors, and other healthcare practitioners. These products were developed by Naturopathic physicians for healthcare practitioners interested in natural, holistic health. OL believes that research oftentimes begins in the doctor's office, not necessarily the lab. Many of the ingredients in these formulas have been used for years and have been time-tested in the physician’s office.
Today, OL is a multimillion dollar business whose main focus is research and education. OL's goal is to educate people on the power of natural healing. OL promotes the idea of combining both traditional and natural medicine and the importance of educating people about making their own choices for health and well-being.
With the launch of its new website, WhatVitaminsAreRightForYou.com and its new medical line of dietary supplements, OL feels they can meet their goals. We welcome you to go through our website and please feel free to call us with questions.
